We are on the back-end of our IndieGoGo campaign. This whole process has been a wonderful eyeopener and we are learning at every step of the way.
No one has to contribute to this project. That’s what makes every donation special to us. They not only are encouraging but each one brings us closer to pursuing this project. Reaching our goal on IndieGoGo will allow us to fast track the process and make Comedy Writing Guru a reality.
We had someone contact us who wanted to contribute but couldn’t give the amount he wanted or he felt Gene deserved. He said that 5 bucks was all he could manage. My response was “That’s perfect.”
It started a discussion and some calculations. We figured if all the people that Gene has reached through his books, classes, ROUND TABLE, the Comedy Writers Convention, and body of work contributed this amount, we’d easily surpass our goal. Then we can get rolling on production. It even started our own mantra “just5bucks” which we are #hashtagging.
So all we are asking for is 5 bucks – a little more than a Happy Meal and a little less than a pack of cigarettes.
Of course, if you want to contribute more, we aren’t going to say no. We’re not crazy!
And we greatly appreciate the support and interest in this project. As someone recently said, “it’s about time.” And I couldn’t agree more.
